Twitter'Ugly Betty': 'America's Next Top Model' Yaya Dacosta causes trouble
It only stands to reason that a fierce woman like "Ugly Betty's" Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams) would have an "America's Next Top Model" contestant for a daughter.ABC confirms that Cycle 3 runner-up Yaya DaCosta will be playing Wilhelmina's headstrong daughter Nico starting with the Friday, Oct. 9 Season Four premiere.
Previously, Nico was played by Jowharah Jones back in 2006 for three episodes.
DaCosta has spent the past year strengthening her acting chops as Cassandra Foster on the soap "All My Children." She should be primed and ready-to-go for all of "Ugly Betty's" over-the-top campiness.

She is a terrible actress...it seems as though "Ugly Betty" is trying to destroy itself.
Clandestine, ABC is doing a good enough job of trying to destroy the show. Putting it on Friday nights is generally a death sentence for shows.
Why did they change actresses? It's not a big deal here since it's a minor character, but still annoying.
Sometimes change can be a good thing...in this case, it will pan out soon!!!

Yaya had a terrible attitude on ANTM and absolutely no acting ability. I'm dissapointed that Ugly Betty would lower itself to her level.
