'Twilight Eclipse' casting: Catalina Sandino Moreno as Jasper's ex

Just call Catalina Sandino Moreno "Maria Full of Blood."

The "Maria Full of Grace" star has been cast in "Eclipse" as another Maria, the vampire who sired and used take part in nasty shenanigans with Jasper Hale, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In the third Stephenie Meyer installment of the popular "Twilight" series, Jasper (Jackson Rathbone), the Cullen clan member who's married to Alice (the occasionally naked Ashley Greene), gives insight into a bit of his past. When he was a Confederate human soldier, the vampire Maria (Moreno) turned him, and together they wreaked havoc by creating an army of "newborn" vampires.

It's this information that is critical for Bella (Kristen Stewart) to fight a slew of newborns created by Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard).

Moreno broke out in "Maria Full of Grace" as a pregnant woman who acts as a drug mule. She's also appeared in "Fast Food Nation" and "Che." She joins the recently cast Jack Huston , Jodelle Ferland and Xavier Samuels.

"Eclipse" begins shooting next week in Vancouver. Just look for the camp of tents erected by fans.
