And season finales of The Closer and Raising The Bar did how well?

Shawn - Sorry I didn't see your comment earlier. Cable doesn't do overnight ratings the same way the broadcast networks do. Will post in the comments once I track the numbers down.

Why is the Topix comment board not on this article (again?)

Frankly, it's so much better than zap2it's current board it would be a shame to lose it.

Since Rick forgot his promise, I may as well just quote USA TODAY's Bill Keveney:

"The summer finale of TNT's "The Closer" was the week's top cable series (7.4 million), just 200,000 viewers short of last year's sendoff. More episodes arrive this winter. The sceond-season finale of "Raising The Bar" (3.4 million) scored markedly better than the first season-ender (1.9 million), which aired against heavy network competition in November."

As long as we're at it, "Make It Or Break It" wrapped with 2.4 million, its second-best score. And, just for Rena, that was 1.7 million more than watched the competing "Gossip Girl" repeat.

Somehow, your analysis spoke to me, Alan. :)

Seriously, you did a great job putting the Raising the Bar numbers in context, which I'm sure most journalists who covered it didn't. :)
