Tom Cruise, Miley Cyrus round out Jay Leno's guest list
"The Jay Leno Show" has firmed up its guest list for the first week, and unsurprisingly it has several A-list names.
Tom Cruise will join Leno on the show's second night, Tuesday, Sept. 15. He'll also inaugurate a comedy bit called "10 at 10," in which guests answer a series of ten rapid-fire questions. (Think the old "Daily Show" segment "Five Questions," times two.)
Other guests lined up for Leno's first week include Jerry Seinfeld, who will be on the inaugural show Monday, Sept. 14, Robin Williams, Miley Cyrus and Halle Berry.
Here's the lineup for the first four nights (the show hasn't nailed down guests for Friday, Sept. 18 yet).
Monday, Sept. 14: Jerry Seinfeld, musical guest Jay-Z with Kanye West and Rihanna
Tuesday, Sept. 15: Tom Cruise
Wednesday, Sept. 16: Robin Williams, Miley Cyrus does "10 at 10"
Thursday, Sept. 17: Halle Berry, musical guests Bruce Hornsby and Eric Clapton

good guests
if they really wanna stir stuff up
they should get david letterman
that would be pretty crazy
I found a satirical video of a simulated Jay Leno promoting the new show at:

im kinda looking forward to Jay being back, all i ever watch at 10 is old reruns, so now ill watch Jay.
Booking the all the A-listers up fornt will only make the inevitable ratings decline look even worse. Such a sad state of affairs for a network in steep decline.
Showing solidarity with other Leno fans, I have not watched O'Brian, nor Letterman (his bad taste comments about the Palin daughters were huge turn off). I'm so excited to have Jay coming back to his loyal viewers. I'm crossing fingers he's bringing HEADLINES with him, as it ROCKS! I will watch Chelsea Lately if I'm still awake later in the evenings.
Awesome! I can't wait for Jay's new show to start. Good guests to start the first week off, and there should be some funny material included. And Sunny, HEADLINES will be there. It does rock!
NBC should be ashamed for taking Jay air off in the first place.
He starts of the first night strong with Seinfeld, but couldn't he have done better than Tom Cruise for the second?
But then again -- maybe they figure Cruise now generates the kind of interest that got people to watch Anna Nicole Smith's reality show. Works for the news channels and TMZ.
Letterman is the master but I'll watch just to see Miley cuz she is the most talented and funny girl ever!
