Ted Kennedy fights for health care -- on 'Chicago Hope'
Ted Kennedy fought for a lot of things during his seven-plus terms in the U.S. Senate, but expanding health-care coverage was a thread that ran through much of his political career.
The cause even took Kennedy, who died early Wednesday at age 77, to the realm of scripted TV. He played himself in a 1997 episode of "Chicago Hope."
The episode features Ron Silver's character, Tommy Wilmette, testifying before a Senate committee on behalf of a children's health-care bill. Have a look at the scene they shared.

I think people should remember the great things he did as a leader and let his private life rest in peace. Everyone has horrible things happen to them and everyone makes mistakes, even huge ones. He cared about humanity.
