Taylor Lautner talks 'Twilight: New Moon'
We sense a pattern: "Twilight" belonged to Team Edward, and "New Moon" is being pitched to Team Jacob.
How else to explain the slew of Jacob-heavy marketing, from shirtless pictures of Taylor Lautner to that giggly, flirty "EW" interview between Lautner and Kristen Stewart?

Here, Lautner talks about "New Moon" and Jacob's increasing role in Bella's life:

This major shoving of Taylor Lautner down everyone's throat is an attempt by Summit to hide the fact that they should have re-cast the role of Jacob when they had the chance. TL fails in the role, he's not tall enough, doesn't look mature enough and isn't much of an actor. But they caved and now are having to do major damage control. It doesn't help that the character is a major douche in the process. In just this installment he lies to Bella, hurts her, reveals secrets he's not supposed to, is selfish and hurts Bella and gets her in trouble on purpose because of his petty jealousy when he knew all along she would never love him. Of course that's all a piece of cake considering his role in Eclipse - where he forces himself on Bella, and Breaking Dawn - when he "falls in love" with a child.
Here we go again with this nutjob: Maya. What do you have against Taylor? Every single post, you're just ripping him to no end. It's very tiring, and just makes you look like a total idiot.
You're in the tiny minority, chick, so why not just bottle up all your little anger and go spew it somewhere where people might care about your frivolous opinion. Oh yeah, there is no such place.
Even though this but Jacob in the front, it still very much about Edward. I find Jacob to be an annoying child, and wished so many times that Edward or Rose and Emmet would take him out in the book. His serves his part as a cheap sub. Just being realistic. I will give him credit for the bulk up, but the height his missing.
I'm glad to have Taylor play more of a role in the marketing for New Moon, besides the fact that he worked really hard to prove his ability to play this character, he also seems excited and happy about the movie which is more than I can say about Rob or Kristen.
People need to get over the fact that Jacob plays a big role in New Moon, he did in the book so he should in the movie as well.
It doesn't matter what maya would tell about taylor. she's just envy or should I say, secretly adore lautner??!move on girl
Why are girls so ga-ga over Rob, when, as said above, he doesn't even communicate with fans? Taylor is open, friendly, funny, and will be *the* star of this film.
Get over it, chicks, or don't see the film. Your obsession with knocking Taylor is just about as nutty as all those "Body Politic" comments. Man, what annoying people.
what the hell do you have against taylor! if you read the book you would know that jacob, is mostly the lead in , new moon, dumm***!!!!!
oh come now. this is a teen book series. hence, this is a teen movie.
leave it for what it is - and it's perfectly entertaining and done better than it probably would have been if it wasn't so popular.
You go Matt she does do that. Jacob never lies to Bella and if you want to talk about telling secrets Edward told a few too and he's that one who really hurts Bella.
Well I don't really remember Jacob lying to Bella either, unless you count a lie of omission. OTOH, he does do everything else maya listed. Personally, I haven't like the character since the first book - he's a manipulative, selfish idiot. Then again I don't care for Taylor Lautner either so I'm lucky in that I don't have a character I like being played by an actor I love or an actor I love playing a character I can't stand. I can't stand either so it all works out.
The one thing she did get absolutely right is that Jacob did force himself upon Bella and that's something in my book you NEVER do. But I guess that sort of thing appeals to some people. meh.
