Singer Danyl Johnson wows Simon Cowell

Just a few months ago, Susan Boyle had Simon Cowell's jaw dropping. But there's a new singer on the block and his name is Danyl Johnson. Video below.Johnson recently auditioned for "The X Factor," a British show similar to "American Idol," with a raspy version of the Beatles' hit "A Little Help From My Friends." Simon Cowell said, "I have been doing this for eight or nine years. Danyl, that was single-handedly the best first audition I have ever heard."
Now, I have seen the video of the audition and while it is very good, I don't know that I would go that far. However, you can watch the video and judge for yourself. Johnson says, "I guess my dream is to get an album out there and write songs and really enjoy it." Well, after the praise from Simon Cowell and over a million hits on his YouTube video, that shouldn't be a problem. It also doesn't hurt that Danyl Johnson is, well, good-looking.

His voice is beautiful! But yeah, I don't know about this being the best audition EVER. It's probably Simon Cowell's way of getting more attention for his show The X Factor, since before this I'm sure not many people had heard about it.

I think he is good, maybe not the best ever but good and let's face it, besides his looks and voice he is a great entertainer!!!
well, Leona Lewis was a former winner of X-Factor and I think a lot (if not most) of her fans know that.
Simon may have been referencing the entire performance - which on AI isn't a real factor in the audition since you are only before the panel and not an audience like there is in The X-Factor.
Two different styles of music....each voice has a different quality....However; Susan's voice adds more depth to the song....Danyl's, which is not to be slighted, sound more standard.
ABSOLUTE ENTERTAINMENT DANYL IS & Simon even though he a D I C K called it as it was. When an entertainer moves you with their performance whatever it may be thats the package and Danyl has and is the WHOLE PACKAGE. Rock on Danyl *smile*
