Hollyhunter_savinggrace_290 TNT says it will bring its series "Saving Grace" to an end next summer, putting a wrap on the show's four-season run.

Fans of Comedy Central's "Reno 911!," meanwhile, will have to say their goodbyes retroactively, because the show won't be back.

"Saving Grace," whose current run on TNT ends next week, will finish off the story of Oklahoma City Detective Grace Hanadarko (Holly Hunter) with nine episodes in summer 2010. The nine episodes will include six that were intended to air early next year as the back end of the current season and three more yet to be produced.

The nine-episode final season represents a compromise between TNT and producer Fox TV Studios, which will save on the cost of producing a full fourth season.

"Since 'Saving Grace' began in 2007, the series has both challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television ever dare," Turner head of programming Michael Wright says. "The show's continued success is thanks to the amazing talents of Holly Hunter and [creator] Nancy Miller, along with a tremendous ensemble cast and a highly skilled production team."

As for "Reno 911!," the news of its cancellation broke Thursday via series star Thomas Lennon's Twitter feed. "'Reno 911!' was cancelled at 1:30 pm today. Won't be wearing the shorts again," he wrote.

Comedy Central confirms that the show is finished after six seasons, 88 episodes and one spinoff feature film ("Reno 911!: Miami"). What turned out to be the show's last season finished on July 8.

This is terrible news. This is a great show and Holly Hunter is amazing to watch. It started out rocky, but has gotten so much better this season. We'll miss you, Grace.

i realy liked this show sorry it wont be back holly is a great actress for being so tiny she can act tough i guess people cant handle such a free spirit woman

holly's star is much shineer and brighter than tbs, hope she finally gets working on piano 2.

Bummer about Reno. It was Sara Silvermans show that needed to be cancelled.

I liked Reno 911 but with all the cast changes this year, I stopped watching.

Q u ain't neva lied!!!

Sarah Silverman needs to be cancelled. The only person who gets her is Jimmy Kimmel.

I stopped watching Saving Grace regularly after Leon (the convict) was put to death. Despite understanding the arc for me it was still "what was the whole point?"

Only one episode drew me back, the one with F. Murry Abraham playing the 'bad' angel.

While I've admired H. Hunter's gutsy and raw acting, I still cringed at her nudity (I'm not a prude BTW and despite the fact that's she's in her fifties, she's in great shape) but she often acted like her character's a woman emotinally still in her thirties.

Gonna catch the last episodes to see how it ends.

Why can't they finish out this show this summer? At least it won't be on in January, 4 seasons for this show is a joke though. TNT better not ever cancel Raising The Bar or Dark Blue. Trust Me was better than Saving Grace.

Saving Grace is the best show and the only we watch every week!!!

no great losses there....
