Queen's Brian May 'blown away' by Adam Lambert's song for '2012'

Adam-lambert-with-brian-may Brian May posted to his blog last week that he was "completely blown away" by the song written for "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert for upcoming movie "2012."

You can see the whole post here at Brian's blog. Apparently May visited Rob Cavallo's studio in Calabasas, California to jam with Meatloaf. While he was there, he heard a recently-finished track that Adam Lambert recorded for the upcoming disaster movie "2012."

May had this to say, "I have to say I was completely blown away ... it's truly sensational. In fact it's so obviously a number one smash, any bookie would be mad to take bets on it. I am not kidding. I'm not easily moved to jelly by male vocalists ... but Adam's voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. Its an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock has a bright new star."

High praise indeed. I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited to hear the track. No word yet on what it is called. "2012" stars John Cusack and Amanda Peet and hits theatres November 13th, 2009.

this story is getting old now...

Adam who? ha ha ha

Adam Lambert and his multioctave vocals, multigenre songs, mesmeriaing stage performances, charismatic personality , creativity , intelligence and personable personality pretty much is rocking people's worlds all across the usa on the American Idol tour as well.

People shouldn't knock Adam until they really hear what he is doing. He is truly gifted and people in the business are getting that. If you haven't really paid attention - just wait until his album comes out in the fall and keep an open mind. He is blowing minds everywhere especially catching him perform live. Very gift indeed.

There are a ton of Adam haters around the internet... from an unbiased opinion, he has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard. So no judging until you hear it!

Mark my words, Adam will become iconic...I've never seen anything like him in all my 51 years!

adam lambert is by far the best idols ever found.in my opinion this generations elvis

adam

I think Adam Lambert is this generations superstar. His uniqueness and originality is so refreshing. I would love to see him sing with the members of Queen not as their lead singer but for a special tribute to Freddie or just to sing some of the band's great songs. I wish they could get together someplace to do this.
I hope Adam's next album will include a couple of Queen songs and more so please sing anything Elvis.
