Kate Gosselin's appearance on "Live with Regis and Kelly" Thursday started off pleasantly enough. There was a little bit of back-and-forth about "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and some polite talk about Kate's separation from husband Jon.And then Regis Philbin decided it was high time that these two crazy kids got back together, and that led to a couple of excruciatingly awkward minutes of morning TV. (I would've given a good amount of money to see how fellow guest Jon Hamm, who'd been on the previous segment, reacted.)
"I just have a feeling like, I think the separation is going to come to an end, I think he's going to come back and he's gonna say 'Please, marry me again,' and I think you're going to live happily ever after," Philbin said. "What do you think of that?"
"Wow," Gosselin replied with an uncomfortable laugh. "He's an optimist."

Wow, what the heck is wrong with Regis even asking such personal questions? She's dealing with the loss of a marriage (whomever is at fault) and Regis thinks there are easy answers? What planet is he from?
Fluff morning show which is why I don't like it. I can't see Anderson Cooper or Katie Couric saying what Regis did!

Regis is on a cloud somewhere. How awkward was that? I could feel Kelli squirming inside. even her!
It's all fake anyway, her marriage, divorce and everything else on the show. Sad morons even watched. It's sad I know about them from just coming to this site. Reality TV is for mindless drones and sadly there are millions around. The only real part is she made a lot of money faking it for a while. Good acting practice, which is where she wants to be next as it is.

once Kate Gosselin agreed to do a do***entary type reality show, she opens herself up to this type of stuff.
Regis has a tendency to try to avoid controversy and even try to mediate. when Rosie (ridiculously) implied Kelly to be ****phobic after the Clay Aiken hand to mouth incident, he and Barbara Walters helped tone it down. however, the some of the tabloid headlines is Regis' only knowledge of Kate.
btw, a coupla weeks ago Anderson Cooper, serious newsman, guest co-hosting R&K while Regis was out for Millionaire, asked Bachelorette Jillian how many of the guys she SLEPT with
Regis is an idiot. I wonder when he was going through his divorce if someone was stupid enough to tell him he would be back with his ex-wife and he will live happily ever after. I love Kelly and only watch when she has a different co-host.
That was the first time that I really felt sympathy for Kate. Poor Regis, I think he really has no clue about all the things Jon has been doing. Must not see TMZ or read tabloids. Don't think he meant to be cruel, I think he seriously wanted to help.I've never seen Kelly so quiet...The last part of the clip was surprising.Kate still needs the tv show, that's how they make a living? At the beg. they both worked, I thought this was a temp. gig. to bring in some extra needed cash. They must have enough for the kid's education, it's time to give it up and go without all those freebies they've been receiving.
Way to keep on exploiting your family Kate! you're a real cl*** act! God, I hate these people, how does anyone care about what happens to this woman?????
