Jason Segel cracks 'Adventurer's Handbook'

Jason Segel is ready for some adventure.

The "How I Met Your Mother" star will join Jonah Hill on "The Adventurer's Handbook," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, co-written by Hill, follows a group of friends (including Jason Schwartzman, last seen with Hill in "Funny People") who try to follow the life lessons put forth in Mick Conefrey's 2006 self-help book "The Adventurer's Handbook: Life Lessons from History's Great Explorers."

Segel will play a failed musician alongside Hill's recluse and Schwartzman's award-winning singer. Filming is scheduled to begin early next year.
