Change has come to Korbi TV

KorbiTV.jpgMy friends, loyal readers, Twitter followers, fair weather fans who don't really like me that much but check in every now and then...

A quick message for you:

Change has come to Korbi TV.

Yes, I know my coverage of the television world has changed quite a bit over the last eight months or so, but come Monday, we're making a major move.

Korbi TV will become all original video content, all the time.

That doesn't mean that I won't be writing anymore. I will continue to file written stories as well, but they will exist in Zap2it's From Inside The Box blog from now on.

You can still come to Korbi TV to get a heads up on that coverage, as I'll post links to my written stories in KTV every day, but you'll now get daily video content as well: Red carpet interviews, set visits, personal commentary on the big small-screen stories of the day, plus more installments of my Drinking with The Stars series.

It's all going to be quick and fun and hopefully bring you much closer to the world of TV as it revolves around a lunatic fan who somehow, by the grace of God knows what, gets firsthand access to the people who are making it happen.

On Monday, I'll kick things off with the first of many one-on-one "Melrose Place" interviews, as we count down to the show's premiere on Tuesday, September 8th. Thomas Calabro, aka Dr. Michael Mancini, is victim number one.

Also, I'm spending some quality on-camera time with "Greek"'s Amber Stevens and Dilshad Vadsaria, so don't miss that either, as the third season premieres Monday night.

Any thoughts?

Despise this idea?

Think it might be cool?

Have suggestions?

Comment below, okay?

Sounds good!

This might be cool. I have to see it before I decide. But you are great on camera, and your interviews and scoops are always great, so I look forward to seeing this new change. I think it's going to be mucho cool!

This ALWAYS presents problems. Folks who want to catch up at work (behind firewalls), people with bandwidth cap problems or slow computers, and folks with hearing problems... are among the few you alienate by going to all video.

Eh, most of the time I opt to not watch videos. It's quicker for me to scan through and read the information and when I'm at work I don't/can't watch videos. Thanks for letting us know. I'll have to get my information elsewhere.

i am sure i will watch the videoes but i prefer the written stories. but do keep the divided i dont want to have to sit through 5 minutes of greek and gossip girl to get to smallville news

booo.... i can't stream video at work.

It's been fun, but I need to get my scoop in a format I can skim through quickly. Video you either have to watch entirely to find out what's covered, or skip. I'll be skipping. Sorry! I'll miss you!

Sorry prefer the written story for many of the reasons written above. Good luck with the change.

Too bad, will be hitting the site much less often due to video content. The powers that be should consider a blended-platform format with options that let visitors decide how we are going to access the info.

I'm not a fan of video content, so I probably won't be sticking around. Written content is so much easier; I can find the info I want and read it quickly.
