Britney Spears is (not) performing at the Teen Choice Awards

We already know that Britney Spears is being named the Ultimate Choice at this year's Teen Choice Awards, airing Sunday, Aug. 9 on FOX. We also know that she's nominated in the Choice Single, Choice Female Artist and Choice Tour categories for music.

What's up in the air is whether she will be performing as well.
Yesterday, Spears' official website said "Tune in to FOX at 8/7C to see Britney's performance and if she wins the three awards she's nominated for."
Then, magically, today it had changed to "Tune in to FOX at 8/7C to see if she wins the three awards she's nominated for."
So, is she? Isn't she? Does she even know?
We've reached out for comment so stay tuned for updates. Or, just tune in on Sunday and find out yourself.
UPDATE: Britney Spears' site has now updated further with the following:
"Britney is appearing, not performing at the TCAs [editor's note: by TCA they mean Teen Choice Awards, not Television Critics Association]. We are deeply sorry for any confusion and disappointment and appreciate the ongoing dedication of Britney's wonderful fans"
