'America's Next Top Model's' Tyra Banks ditches her 'slave hair'

As Tyra Banks has told us time and time again on "America's Next Top Model" and her talk show: African-American women have a complicated relationship with their hair.
The 35-year-old former "Victoria's Secret" model took to Twitter yesterday to announce that for "The Tyra Banks Show" Sept. 8 premiere she will be "rockin' [her] REAL hair ... No fake hair at all! Will be the hair coming out of my scalp! 4 all 2 C!
"No ponytails, no ballet bun hair. hair will be out and free!
"I have had every color weave in the book. even KOOL-AID red!!!"
That's all very well and good, but we're certain that we won't be seeing any of this natural beauty from Tyra or anyone else on the new season of "America's Next Top Model" (which happens to premiere on Sept. 9, the day after her hair stunt), where she's referred in the past to her weaves and extensions as her "slave hair."
We're also a bit confused as to why when Tyra promoted her new "National Real Hair Day" via a flash-mob held at New York City's Union Square, she showed up quite obviously not sporting her real hair. After all, as she herself says, she wants "women everywhere to own and rock what they've got and be proud!"
As long as they bring ratings to her talk show with them.

top model is an addictive show. but it is a farce weired looking people are the ones who most likely make it to the end. and the most unattractive seems to win I don't get it. I wouldn't want to look like most of those girls and I'm 40 I really don't get the unique thing you are going for it used to be called something eles.
