Twitter'American Idol' wants Queen Latifah to guest judge
Queen Latifah is the next female celebrity tapped to guest judge now that the fourth seat is left vacant on "American Idol" due to Paula Abdul's departure.
A source close to the show told Radaronline that Queen Latifah is the next person in the "American Idol" judging wishlist. This in addition to Victoria Beckham and Katy Perry being confirmed as guest judges and rumors that Jennifer Lopez is being courted as a permanent replacement for Abdul.
This is really turning into some kind of game. Is there an online gambling site where we can place bets on who's next? I'd like to put $100 firmly on Dame Chloris Leachman.

Can you say "JUMP THE SHARK" and I'm predicting this will fail bigtime and people will be tuning out in droves. First, they overpay for that dweeb Seacrest and Cowell and then retain that ego-maniac Kara and now they're doing a revolving door of judges? Where did they get this idea from...WWE Monday Night RAW? Ratings will be abysmal for AI and hoping, JUST HOPING, it will finally see its doom and get canceled once and for all. This show has now turned into an all about the judges and not about the talent thing.
Actually, I'd prefer Queen Latifah period. If they insist on a 4th judge, I'll take her any day of the week. Victoria Beckham is beyond a joke and Katy Pery has been in the biz for all of 14 seconds. Queen is lovely, mothering and intelligent. I like the idea and hope it leads to something permanent.
by the way, Kara isn't an egomaniac. She's a buffoon. There's a big difference.

Queen Latifah would be a great choice for the permanent female judge. She's funny, smart, has been in the business a while and will probably have great on-air chemistry with Randy and Simon. She'll also be coherent when she speaks. Get rid of Kara and don't bother with Posh Beckham or JLo, both awful choices.
HOW many times do I need to say this?? KARA is the replacement. They don't need a 4th judge. 4 is too many, thought they discovered that this year. Keep it at 3, leave it as is. Let's stop this daily articles about a quest for a replacement.

I used to like Queen Latifah but she gets more and more annoying as the years go by. They need to just PAY PAULA and stop all this nonsense.
this is freakin madness.3 judges is all they need. paula is an idiot, kara aint too bright either.find a GOOD replacement. mabe a past winner or something.
I heartily endorse this choice, but for permanent host. Toss Kara, or preferably Randy (call me dawg just once, dude, go on, I dare ya!). QL would bring some actual music knowledge to the show, what a concept. Bet she's never even said the word "pitchy" before.
