ABC and Alyssa Milano are 'Romantically Challenged'

ABC is adding another series to its 2009-10 roster, picking up the Alyssa Milano comedy pilot "Romantically Challenged" for midseason.

The show, which was created by Ricky Blitt ("Family Guy," "The Winner") has earned a 13-episode order. It will be one of four new shows launching in early 2010, along with the dramas "The Deep End," "Happy Town" and "V."

"Romantically Challenged" centers on a guy who finds himself caught in the middle of a battle of wills between his new girlfriend (Milano) and his needy best friend ("Worst Week's" Kyle Bornheimer). The cast also includes Kelly Stables ("Greek") as Milano's younger sister.

Eric Christian Olsen played the central male role in the pilot, but his role and others will likely be recast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show is the second comedy Milano has made with ABC recently. The network announced the pickup of her show "Single with Parents" earlier this year, but then decided not to go forward with it.

She is awasome, hopefully her show will make it and ABC wont do what they did to Samantha Who. Putting that show after dancing with the stars. Worse timeslot they could have given it. Comdedies need to start the nighta nd not air at 930.

This could be good. Alyssa Milano can pull of funny and flirty. Just look at Charmed.

whoa, yeah! loved milano since charmed. should be a great show. even its it not, milano will save the ratings. wish holly marie combs would get a show. maybe she'll guest star. "wink*
