Sethrogen_observeandreport_290 Fly, "Green Hornet!" Fly!

The release date Seth Rogen's superhero update will buzz back a few days to July 9, 2010, according to Exhibitor Relations.

The film's previously scheduled June 25 spot will be filled by Adam Sandler's "Grown Ups," a previously untitled comedy about high-school classmates who relive the glory days during a reunion. Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and David Spade will co-star.

"Green Hornet" is based on a 1960s live-action show in the vein of Adam West's "Batman" and starring Bruce Lee as the title character's sidekick. That show was in turn based on a comic book in which Britt Reid, a descendant of the Lone Ranger, fought crime under the guise of, well, The Green Hornet.

Seth Rogen as the "Green Hornet", boy is this flick going to suck :(

i cant wait i like seths humor

seth is hit and miss for me and I have a feeling this film will be an epic miss

Saying that the Green Hornet is along the same vein as Batman isn't really fair. Although I loved it, Batman was campy fun and outrageous antics. Green Hornet was much more serious than that.

I, too, have much difficulty seeing Seth Rogan as the Green Hornet.
