New 'Prince of Persia' posters unearthed

Remember when Jake Gyllenhaal was just the geeky kid from "Bubble Boy?" Not so much any more, if the one-sheet posters for "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" (based on Ubisoft's 2003 video game) are any indication.

Gyllenhaal stars as Dastan, the titular prince who finds himself battling a city of monsters after accidentally releasing the Sands of Time. He's aided by Princess Farah (changed to Tamina for the movie) and some magical items.

See other big-screen video game adaptations.

If the posters' taglines are any indication, at least the major plot points from the video game remain.

Update: The poster previously pictured was an unauthorized international version. Here's the official buff, gruff Jake, straight from Disney:

Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton is less intimidating as Princess Tamina:

"Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" flows into theaters May 28, 2010.
