New 'Nightmare on Elm Street' poster cuts in
Are you ready for Freddy?
A new teaser poster for the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" remake is stalking the Internet. There's not much to see, though, but a silhouette of Jackie Earle Haley's supernatural killer Freddy Krueger.
As with the 1984 original, the movie will follow a group of teens menaced by the ghost of Freddy, a child molestor killed by a group of Elm Street parents.
"Nightmare" claws into theaters April 16, 2010.

While I have reservations with anything Platinum Dunes does, I will support this film. Now if we can only get a trailer...
I love the freddy movies, I hope this doesnt dissapoint
If you love the sequals where Freddy is fuuny then you won't like this one. Their going old school scary Freddy. Not stand up comedian Freddy. It's about time he's scary again. To bad it's not Robert Englund.
the poster looks good. let's hope they don't screw this one up like them have so many remakes that have come before it.
Eh, it was a B film from the 1980s, with apologies to B films in general; Citizen Kane it was not.
Ought to fit in well with the likeminded trash Hollywood produces year after year after year after year after year after year....

i actually think robert england is acting and i hope to movie is scary but has a little bit of freddy comedy to it
Best Part is... NO ROBERT ENGLUND.
I use to think it's not Freddy without R. Englund, but now Im glad they casted a new actor for the role of Freddy. Robert E was no longer scary in make up. He was funny and entertaining and downright CHEESY. For everyone complaining about R.E. not being cast, its time to let go of 20 years ago and accept someone fresh.
New is better.
i am glad to see a remake of nightmare but i hope it pays respect to the classic attitude of freddy he was not a typical slasher film character like mike meyers or jason. but i dont recall the movies refering to freddy as a child molester, just a murderer.
butcherchop...what are you talking about all of the freddy movies talk about his child molesting days its one of the main plot lines purhaps you need to go back and watch the movies again!
