Mischa Barton is in NYC and about to start work on 'The Beautiful Life'

Just a few days after her release from Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai hospital, where she had been placed in psychiatric care for a week and a half, Mischa Barton is back on the East Coast and preparing to start work on her new CW show, "The Beautiful Life."

Production on 'TBL' was supposed to begin in New York City on July 22nd, but was pushed to this Friday, the 31st, shortly after Barton was admitted to the hospital. The network, however, insists that the delay was not related to Barton, but due to unfinished sets.

Either way, we wish Mischa the best and hope she actually feels well enough to work.

She will be playing the role of an aging supermodel with a troublesome drug problem.
