Michael Jackson TV special falls through

Michael Jackson will live on as the King of Pop, but not necessarily on an anticipated TV special in the fall.

A movie and a tie-in TV special were expected to be made with the help of AEG Live, the promoter behind Jackson's 50 "This Is It" comeback concerts in London, reports the LA Times. Negotiations have been flying fast and furious over the rights to the concert rehearsal footage that would be used in the film and over the broadcast rights to the TV special.

And while it appears a deal for the film project will be announced soon, the TV special is a different story.

NBC and other networks were initially keen, but interest has waned for a multitude of reasons, but the biggest sticking point is that AEG has a $20 million asking price ... but won't give new or exclusive Jackson performance footage.

"And the cost of that thing is $20 million? With no Michael Jackson? Ha!" an anonymous network source told the Times.

What's really pathetic is people that allow an entertainers life or lifestyle affect their own personal behavior. The fact that one cares this much about about another Michael jackson story is quite revealing. Obviously, anyone who feels that they've been emotionally unchained following the reveal of this story is someone who in quite a deal of inner pain, bitterness and self doubt. Stop letting the behavior of others dictate who you are. For all we know for sure, he was an angel and you're a spiteful witch. God will ultimately decide who gets to heaven. After reading your post my money is on Michael.

It is so amazing how society can be so forgiving of some entertainers, and others are beat to death even after their death. We have all made mistakes and have a need for forgivness for some thought or deed we have committed.

I believe we are ***umed innocent until proven guilty.
