PICS: Meet the 'Top Chef: Las Vegas' contestants

"Top Chef: Las Vegas" will fire up its stoves in late August, and the 17 contestants this season will bring a big measure of regional diversity to the table.

The Bravo show's sixth season will premiere Wednesday, Aug. 26. Only five of the chefs this time around hail from the foodie havens of New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco; the cast also includes chefs from Philadelphia, Seattle, Maryland, Michigan and Florida by way of Haiti. Here they all are:

Host Padma Lakshmi and judges Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and Toby Young will all be back. Guest judges this time around include Wolfgang Puck, Nigella Lawson, Natalie Portman, Penn & Teller and "Top Chef Masters" contestants Hubert Keller and Tim Love.
