'Make It or Break It' scores 10, 'Greek' premieres Aug. 31
It's a perfect 10 for "Make It or Break It," ABC Family's drama set in the world of competitive gymnastics.
"I'm thrilled to be announcing the pick-up of our latest hit, 'Make It or Break It.' This show just roared out of the gate with its smart mix of rivalry and romance," says Paul Lee, ABC Family president. "Our Millennial audience just loves its great cast and addictive plotlines, and like our viewers, I can't wait to see what happens next."
The show has been picked up for an additional 10 episodes and is the network's second-highest rated series behind "The Secret Life of the American Teenager."
In other ABC Family news, the college drama "Greek" will premiere its third season on Monday, Aug. 31 at 9 p.m. for 10 episodes.
G4 "Attack of the Show" host Olivia Munn will guest star this season as Lana the "hottie waitress" who gets the attention of a BMOC, and new ZBZ pledge Abby (Olesya Rulin) puts on the pressure when she notes how the house is no longer enjoying numerous party invites or the proper relationship with the popular frats.
Additional guest stars will come in the form of parents, when father-daughter weekend sees the return of Thomas Calabro as Senator Logan, Rebecca's father, and visits from Kadeem Hardison (as Brian, Ashleigh's dad), Tom Amandes (as Jack, Jordan's dad) and Jeffrey Lambert (as Russell, Casey's dad).
The show will pick up where it left off, with Casey (Spencer Grammer) rejected by Cappie (Scott Michael Foster), Rebecca's (Dilshad Vadsaria) late-night mystery kiss, Rusty (Jacob Zachar) possibly failing O-Chem and Dale (Clark Duke) faces a moral dilemma ... hmm, could it be his randy girlfriend is wanting Dale to give in to her feminine wiles?
