'Life' writer will pen Leonardo DiCaprio's 'Twilight Zone'
Leonardo DiCaprio's "Twilight Zone" movie is getting a taste of "Life."
Rand Ravich, creator of the beloved but cancelled NBC crime series, will take a trip through that ghostly door to the Zone on behalf of DiCaprio's Appian Way production company.
The new movie would presumably follow the television show's vignette format, though no details have been made available. There's also no word on whether DiCaprio will have a role in front of the camera.
"The Twilight Zone," famous for sci-fi plotlines with twist endings, has seen television incarnations in 1959, 1985 and 2002.
There was also an anthology movie in 1983, though that movie's deep talent base -- John Landis, George Miller and Steven Spielberg were among its segment directors -- was overshadowed by a helicopter crash that killed actor Vic Morrow, among others.
