Katie Holmes takes her Dizzy Feet to 'SYTYCD' on July 23
Katie Holmes' debut on "So You Think You Can Dance" has been set. The actress will perform a tribute to entertainment legend Judy Garland on the show's 100th episode, scheduled to air Thursday, July 23.
That fits with an earlier report that Holmes would twirl to Garland's "Get Happy" from the 1950 musical "Summer Stock."
In a video statement on Wednesday (July 1) night's show, Holmes said the performance will call attention to Dizzy Feet, a foundation created by "Dance" judge Nigel Lythgoe dedicated to supporting dance education and teaching young artists.
"I think it's important for
children to experience music and dance," says Holmes. "Every child should have
the opportunity to discover what it is they like and have access to the very
best in that pursuit."
The actress will perform a piece choreographed by "Dance's" Tyce Diorio.

katie is a great dancer, a great philanthropist, and gives a crap. so what's your problem? that she married tom cruise? give over it. she's doing a good thing here.

Katie is gifted actress as well as a fantastic singer and dancer. I dont watch this show but will do for Katie. I also think her family is just so sweet and special like her.
