Kate Gosselin and the bodyguard? Yeah, Jon started that

Sigh. The televised announcement that the "Jon & Kate Plus 8" parental unit were separating -- the one that aired less than a month ago -- had such a nice ring of closure to it. Too bad examples of the Gosselins' petty vindictiveness are still coming to light.

A "well-placed" source tells RadarOnline that the rumors about Kate Gosselin having an affair with the family's bodyguard, Steve Neild, were spread by none other than her estranged husband, Jon.

"Jon wanted a divorce and he also wanted to throw attention away from himself, so he spread that rumor," says "the source." "Jon doesn't like Steve so he didn't care about the repercussions."

Meanwhile, Kate was seen having not-so-secret Hollywood meetings at the Hotel Bel-Air and on the Warner Bros. lot on Wednesday (July 8) and hasn't seen her supposed lover -- who also happens to be married -- in several weeks, instead traveling with another member of the family's security team.

Because who has time for romance when you have that many mouths to feed?

Of course, we all should believe it because "Radaronline" says it?!? Kate is quite capable of having an affair especially with her sense of entitlement. I absolutely believe it. I don't think Jon gives a hoot what Kate does now. He is finally rid of her and that is all he cares about. She has to find a new punching bag.

You know how E! pledged to stop airing any stories about Spencer and Heidi? Maybe Zap2It should consider a similar embargo on stories from Radar Online.

I have no doubt that this "source" is one of Kate's die-hard, overweight, white-trash worshippers, like we see in every vid or pic taken at one of her book signing or talk engagements.
