Jon Gosselin 101: How to Use a Tool

There are way too many characters in the Jon Gosselin soap opera now. We fear we may be beginning to lose the plot.
Following on the heels of Star magazine's online post Wednesday (July 22) night that their reporter Kate Major went to do a story on Gosselin only to return a smitten kitten, today's revelation is that Major has resigned her position with the magazine over the conflict of interest.

However, there are conflicting reports about what Jon thinks about all this.
RadarOnline says Gosselin claims that he was tricked by Major and that she's making the whole thing up.
Oooooh, maybe it's like when Patty Hewes fake fires Tom on "Damages" each season. Perhaps Star is in collusion with Major to sell magazines. Print is dying after all.
On the other hand, when Life & Style asked Gosselin directly about Major he gave them the classic, "You'll have to call Rubenstein," referring to his newly hired PR firm Rubenstein Communications.
We do know that reports of Gosselin and Major took his supposed fiancee Hailey Glassman by surprise since she told People magazine that it was news to her and "I still love Jon and Jon still loves me." However, according to People, she also broke into tears when she said this so she might not be so certain about their love.
Now, here's where the plot starts to get really muddled.
Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael and Jill Zarin of "The Real Housewives of New York" are on-the-scene as well, but we're pretty sure they're just cameos in this drama. Sure, Lohan is trying to make his role a larger one by going to the press to tell them at Jon & Kate 2.0 spent the night at his house and clearing up the reason she resigned from Star, but poor Jill appears to be a hapless bystander who happened to be recognized.
We hope.
For someone who said he was tired of living his life in front of the cameras, Gosselin sure has done a 180. Then again, what else are you going to do with a tool other than use him ... uh ... we mean it.

Man, it's too bad this schmuck doesn't actually have to work to support his kids... if he had to work the 50-70 hours per week my dad did to support his 8 kids I suspect JG would be out of the camera's eye pretty darned fast. He wouldn't have the time to get into so much tabloid-friendly trouble!
Of course, then he wouldn't be able to tap all the tail he's getting while at the same time whining that he's being used. I think that's the other way around, bonehead.
I'm so happy for this guy. After years of being publicly emasculated by an undereducated and over opionated woman, he deserves this.
i agree that Kate is and undereducated, overly controlling, mean wench, but this guy is losing all sympathy FAST (actually he already has). it is now clear that both Jon & Kate were total idiots!
IMO he has been emasculated for so long that he is unable to judge poeple or their intentions right now. He is naive to the fact that someone would use him in this manner. You can bet if he is really in a serious relationship with Hailey that he won't get himself into a situation like this again with a user like Major. He learned a big lesson - let your publicist weed out the opportunists and don't attend an "interview" alone. I hope he files a defamation suit against her.
Why is this dead-beat dad receiving any attention other than a court order for child support? How the hell is Kate still getting the blame for his actions here? She is the one taking care of those kids now and it looks like she is pretty much doing it all on her own. So what if she wasn't always the nicest person on camera... she is the one being responsible to her family. Clearly Jon is having issues and maybe HE is the primary reason they are no longer together not Kate. I used to think that it was probably Kate that caused the split, but now I'm thinking it was all Jon.
