Casting call: 'Hangover's' Mr. Chow enters 'Community' service

Kenjeong Ken Jeong, Como se dice "hilarious"?

NBC's upcoming comedy "Community" has cast Ken Jeong as its Spanish teacher.

Jeong, who recently stole scenes as the effeminate gangster Mr. Leslie Chow in "The Hangover," will play Senor Chang, a Spanish teacher at the community college attended by ex-lawyer Jeff (Joel McHale), whose college degree was invalidated.

Senor Chang will begin his five-episode run in "Community's" second episode.

Jeong has been cracking folks up in small, character-driven roles such as the angry obstetrician in "Knocked Up." He's continued appearing in guy flicks such as "Pineapple Express" and "Role Models." 

He'll next appear on the big screen in Jeremy Piven and Will Ferrell's "The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard" and Sandra Bullock's "All About Steve."

In other casting news:

 - Taylor Kinney joins NBC's "Trauma" as Glen, a handsome EMT that joins the first-response paramedics teamin San Francisco.

 - Gregory Smith will co-star opposite Missy Peregrym in "Copper," ABC's Canadian cop drama that focuses on recent graduates from the police academy
