'Glee,' 'So You Think You Can Dance' start earlier

Matthewmorrison_glee_290 FOX has decided to get its heavily hyped series "Glee" a little farther out in front of the fall-premiere crush.

The network released a revised premiere schedule Tuesday morning (July 28) that features both "Glee" and the fall season of "So You Think You Can Dance" moving up a week. Both shows will debut Wednesday, Sept. 9, rather than the previously announced Sept. 16.

Meet the cast of 'Glee'

The change will give "Glee" and "SYTYCD" two weeks to establish themselves against lighter competition. The CW is premiering "America's Next Top Model" on Sept. 9, but ABC, CBS and NBC won't roll out their Wednesday lineups until Sept. 23.

The first two episodes of "Glee" will also get Friday airings on Sept. 11 and 18, which in turn changes the premiere dates for comedies "Brothers" and "'Til Death."

"Brothers" will get an hour-long premiere on Friday, Sept. 25, leading into the new season of "Dollhouse." "'Til Death" joins the schedule on Oct. 2.

You are stupid. The show is called Glee and if you would research a lot of the cast have worked professionaly on Broadway. Also it is networks not networth.

And here I thought they were the lighter competition.

REALLY! Fox has a show called Glee? Huh? You would think they would promote it or something, maybe to the point that it turns people off because they might think the show tries a little too hard to be 'different' yet at the same time cater to "anyone who ever had a dream"!!! Blah, blah, blah, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies, here we come...

.. did someone really call gaga hot young TALENT? wow. i respect that she may have had genuine musical ability at one point, but now all i can see is a contrived songwriter who tries way too hard to be edgy and high fashion.

the cast of glee has the vocals to back up the songs they sing and yes, the show is cheesy, but if that's a problem with you.. just don't watch it.

as for the networks trying to save money.. yes, of course, in this economic climate what can you expect? certainly not shelling out millions for a frivolous, self-satisfied poptart like gaga..

Britney Spears is talent and Lea Michele is not? Have you heard either of them sing? Because Lea first appeared on Broadway when she was 8 years old and Britney has released over-produced, syth-heavy, skanky music since she was 16. Oh, and Matthew Morrison did win a Tony, while Lea was the leading lady in a show that won eight. Jenna was in it too.

It's cheesy, it' campy... and it's gunna be the next cult hit...the writing is too fun, and the talent is too good for it not to be... PS

KRISTEN CHENOWITH IS GUEST STARRING !!!!

I am a great fan of that British guy from Herman's Hermits (AKA Peter Noone). I have been to at least 100 of his shows. He's a great dancer.

wow, **** for words much? Learn to write and form legitimate sentences and then people might take your opinion seriously. As far as glee goes, I love music and combining it with a funny smart show just seems so perfect. I hope Fox doesn't goof this one up. They've been known to bring out shows that are good in the first episode and suck the rest of the season. I hope Glee can go the distance.
