Rainnwilson_theoffice_290 Thank goodness for Rainn Wilson.

"The Office" actor -- and Emmy nominee for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series -- greeted his million plus Twitter followers on Thursday morning with an enthusiastic, "Hey, twitterverse, I just got an Emmy nomination!"

See, that's the enthusiasm we want to see from our Emmy nominees. We want to know that they're just like us, eager to share every one of their triumphs immediately with millions of strangers.

So why weren't other nominees nearly as accommodating?

Shirley MacLaine ("Coco Chanel") posted the unsurprisingly enigmatic "remaining centered in these times helps u & also helps everyone around u. I always take time to do some deep breathing" a few minutes after the nominations were announced, but that could be MacLaine being MacLaine.

Ryanseacrest_americanidol_290 Ryan Seacrest took the high road and only directly Twittered about "American Idol's" Outstanding Reality - Competition nod: "Congrats to my cast crew Idol got nominated for an emmy! We're up against amazing race, dancing with the stars, project Runway and top chef."

Seacrest waited until a follower mentioned his personal Outstanding Host nomination before responding, "Thank you so much! RT @TheFranny: Congrats @RyanSeacrest on your Emmy Nomination! We are all rooting for you!!"

Granted, despite the prevailing idea that all entertainment people have massive egos that must constantly be fed, many might not have bothered to get up at 5:30 a.m. PT to see if their name was on the list. After all, they can sleep in and still wake up a nominee.

If that's the case, here's some who might still have something to say and share later on.

Christina Applegate  - Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy
Hank Azaria  - Outstanding Voiceover
Tom Bergeron - Outstanding Reality Host
Kristin Chenoweth  - Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy
Tyce Diorio - Outstanding Choreography
Derek Hough - Outstanding Choreography
Julianne Hough  - Outstanding Choreography
Phil Keoghan  - Outstanding Reality Host
Mia Michaels  - Outstanding Choreography
Seth MacFarlane - Outstanding Voiceover
Jack McBrayer  - Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy
Kyra Sedgwick  - Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama
Harry Shearer  - Outstanding Voiceover
Charlie Sheen  - Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy
Sarah Silverman  - Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy
Justin Timberlake  - Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy

* NOTE: There are a lot of fake Twitter accounts out there. We went with the ones we know to be real and the ones that best indications are are real. Once they get that whole "Verified Account" thing worked out, life will be much simpler.

Know of ones we missed? Let us know. Oh, and follow Zap2it on Twitter for the latest TV, movie and celebrity news.

We promise that's really us.

That's SO not Hugh Laurie's twitter account. That would be a fan pretending to be Hugh Laurie in love with Robert Sean Leonard. Way to give the crazies a boost.

I don't think that's Seth MacFarlane's either. I could be wrong.

By the way, Twitter almost crashed this morning lol

Julianne and Derek Hough have twitter accounts.

Twitter is like a breath of fresh air on the Social Media scene. I have been on it for just a few weeks now and I have met several interesting people. It is a platform to network with people you would like to meet in real life.
