Comic-Con 2009: Legion of 'Lost' fans can hardly wait

Alt-thumbnail-lost-fans "Lost" guru Ryan McGee said it best in his all you need to know about 'Lost' at Comic-Con 2009 post, but just in case you missed it: his McGeeness admits dodgy answers from the "Lost" creators will probably be the format for Saturday's panel discussion. Because who really wants to ruin the reveal after last season's bright light?

We got a little tease about Juliet from Elizabeth Mitchell, but even that was vague. But that said, all of this didn't stop the legions of "Lost" fans from staking out their spot in line to hear the Island gospel this weekend.

Tweets from the panel already revealed Josh Holloway, Jorge Garcia, and Michael Emerson made appearances. And there was a mention of an alternate universe/time line in season six.

Zap2it Elite Sheet Must Reads from the Web's In-Crowd

Once again, an article that doesn't mention the less-than-stellar ratings of Lost the past three years and suggests it's still a huge hit when it's not anymore...

Context is what's missing in most articles these days.

I didn't realize the article was about Lost's ratings. So, anytime Lost is mentioned, it's a requirement to mention it's ratings?

Lost's ratings are completely irrelevant (and they are by no means poor, in the first place) and I doubt those people waiting to get into the panel care.

Online, DVR and DVD sales is where it makes the fans watch. I actually watch live but have several friends that are catching up via DVD's right now to watch at their own pace. TV ratings is what make networks salivate but it doesn't really tell us about the fandom of Lost. I wish I was Comic-Con.

ratings are irrelevant nowadays with dvr and dvd's but that doesn't mean Lost isn't still the only show on tv worth watching. most people that bash Lost used to watch it but were too stupid to understand what was going on. so u go watch you stupid greys anatomy or that asinine show house u loser

And besides ... Lost's ratings in the all-important demographic categories are stratospheric. And that's what the networks really care about these days. Anyone who thinks Lost isn't still a huge hit, especially in the demos that matter, doesn't have a firm grip on the business, or of reality for that matter.
