Zac Efron grows up for 'sexy thriller'

Teen heartthrob Zac Efron bowed out of the "Footloose" remake to shake his pop-friendly image, and it looks like he's doing just that.

Efron, star of the "High School Musical" series, will star in a "sexy thriller" for Mandate Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Want to know more? Well, details aren't in abundance, though we suspect the "sexy thriller" won't venture into Shannon Tweed territory.

Leslie Dixon, who penned the remakes of "The Thomas Crown Affair" and "Hairspray" (which also starred Efron), is on board as writer.
