'Twilight' vampire teams with vamp-hunting 'Priest'

"Twilight's" bad-boy vampire is switching sides.

Cam Gigandet, who as James menaced teen vamp-lover Bella, has signed on to play a half-undead vampire hunter in "Priest," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is based on Min-Woo Hyung's series of graphic novels; Gigandet's character is out to save his lover from the dark embrace, and so teams up with title character Ivan Isaacs (Paul Bettany). Convenient, since the woman in question is also Isaacs' niece.
