Emilehirsch_2902 B or not 2 B?

Yep, count Shakespeare's "Hamlet" among the many contemporized versions of his work, according to Variety. This time around, "Milk" co-star Emile Hirsch and "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke are set to tell us what's rotten in Denmark.

The new film will move the tale to the modern-day United States.

We're hoping it goes the way of Baz Luhrmann's 1996 "Romeo + Juliet," one of the few good updates of The Bard's work.

Love Emile Hirsch, hate Catherine Hardwicke... this could go either way.

I really liked Michael Almereyda's updated version with Ethan Hawke. It'll be hard to top that one.
