Tomcolicchio_topchef_290 Following the appetizer of "Top Chef Masters" this summer, the next season of "Top Chef" will pack its knives and go to Las Vegas.

Season six of the Bravo series will set up shop in Sin City, which has become a foodie haven in recent years as a number of high-profile chefs and restaurateurs have set up shop there. Among them is "Top Chef" head judge Tom Colicchio, who has an outpost of his Craftsteak restaurant in the MGM Grand resort.

Colicchio will be back for the new season, along with host Padma Lakshmi and judges Gail Simmons and Toby Young, who joined the show last season.

There's no word yet on when the sixth "Top Chef" will get under way. "Top Chef Masters," which will pit 24 of North America's best chefs in a series of shorter competitions, premieres Wednesday, June 10 on Bravo.

"Top Chef" continues to be one of Bravo's best performers. The New York-based fifth season was the show's best ever, averaging close to 4 million viewers a week. Almost 5 million people tuned in to see Hosea Rosenberg win last season's title.
