'The Hills'' Heidi Pratt hospitalized in Costa Rica
So, last we saw Spencer and Heidi, they had returned to the Costa Rican jungle and were begging to rejoin the cast of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!"
Blaming "the Devil" for convincing them to quit just a couple days before, they said the game was all about winning money for their respective charities and pleaded for another shot. NBC agreed to let their former cast mates make the decision, but only if Speidi made it through an entire night locked in a dark isolation chamber crawling with rats, snakes and gigantic bugs.
So, yeah, I guess they didn't make it...
According to a tweet from Spencer's sister, Stephanie Pratt, Heidi was rushed to the hospital today and has an IV in her arm after being locked away for three days with no food or water.
Oh boy.
Hope NBC had Speidi sign an airtight contract that protects the network from lawsuits 'cause there's no doubt Spencer's scheming wheels are turning right about now. I'm quite sure he's weighing all the ways he might be able to profit from his wife's illness...
Anyway, there are no official reports as to what exactly is wrong with Heidi, though rumors are circulating that she has a stomach virus.
Her family is currently en route to Costa Rica to see her.

Is Speidi already tired of 'I'm a Celebrity'?

He's kidding about Spencer being hot right?
I am NOT a fan of the Pratts, and I may be jaded on reality tv shows, but seriously, it's time to stop laughing. TMZ is reporting that set insiders are saying NBC tortured the Pratts, and even Paul Telegdy, exec VP of alternate programming at NBC, has been giving interviews where he is bragging about the psychological torture they put the Pratts through.
Yes, Heidi and Spencer are a joke. Yes, they signed up for this. Yes, they did quit, but NBC decided to allow them to come back. That should not give NBC the right to come up with "a far more interesting psychological experiment" where infared cameras filmed "two sets of very terrified eyes, blinking, goggle-eyed, terror-struck! They prayed quite vigorously." Those quotes are from Mr. Telegdy's bragging. We don't treat prisoners like this. No matter how idiotic Spencer and Heidi are, no one should be subjected to torture.
And in addition to that, TMZ is also reporting that other celebs are wanting to quit, but NBC is forcing them to stay by holding their p***ports. If someone wants to break their contract, you go after them by legal means. You sue 'em. You don't hold people hostage and subject others to psychological torture. Let's hope Mr. Telegdy is looking for a new job on Monday.
I think this is all just a publicity stunt by the Pratts & NBC for ratings. They know the show stinks and are doing this to try to keep it going the full 3 weeks its scheduled to run.
maybe those dumb face masks didn't work and she got the swine flu...BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Besides the whole "changing of the guard" on the Tonight Show, they are the best thing to happen to NBC in a while. The Pratts are headline after headline.
But if what Paul says is true, they shouldn' Being in the jungle itself is bad enough, so they shouldn't be treated like crap just for ratings.
I won't start watching the show again until The Pratts are gone (that is, if it happens in the next week, otherwise things will be too far advanced).
The couple has been successful in hogging headlines with the help of the network, so I believe this is yet another a publicity stunt. Yawn!!
This show is the TV equivalent of pulling wings off of flies, or in this case photogenic ****roaches. It is the basest of human entertainment.
Having said that, I hope Heidi is ok. Last week a boy died from bubonic plague in New Mexico (rats=>fleas=>plague). And, there far worse things endemic to the jungle than that. Even if she is just sick in the head, I hope she gets better soon.
If this is just a stunt someone should be fired, and if they are holding p***ports someone should go to jail. Kidnapping is not a prank. I wonder what Alan Funt would say if he could see what his fun little idea has devolved into half a century later?
i guess they made it back on the show.
Likely the prats have a contract saying that they can't be separated for longer than 15 minutes. They go against each other in a challenge, they exit together - several times, they're penalized together.
The biggest homage to togetherness: Both are exempt from being voted out.
If this is a competition show, I'd love to see the rules. I'm sorry for the other D-list celebrities who hoped for a boost to their careers. And their charities, of course. which give them an excuse for being there.
It's all publicity and spin. They were to be in the chamber for only 1 day or about 24 hours. I believe that the producers know they have a booring show and are trying everything they can to ****e it up even with the co operation of these Hills Brats
