Report: 'Jon & Kate' divorce papers filed

Good for kate for getting ride of her tag along husband. Now she can move on with her life and take care of her 8 kids. I ams ure she will find a new man soon enough.

jon is a great dad with a shrew wife who belittled everything he did. nothing is ever good enough for her, and if i heard her say 'we're grateful for all that people do for us,' one more time. her gratefulness should have extended to realizing it's not the 'stuff' that makes a family. money isn't needed to make 'more adventures' for their happiness. kate was not putting the family's happiness first, she was putting kate's happiness first. if that wasn't clear before it became clear this year.

jon's made some dumb judgment choices, but what the kids are going to question when they grow up are all those shrewish comments mom kate made on camera about daddy, and why mom didn't just pull the plug on the show. both come across as pushing daddy away and tearing apart the family in the end.

I admire Kate for raising eight kids to this young age already!

Its not Kates fault that Jon cant stand up top her. Look at Angelina she has a strong man thats why she is raising her 8 kids in peace, but kate has a girly husband who lacks a backbone and a spin. She needs a man who will tell her whats upa dn then they can have a life together. Love to see her do a dating show.

What a shame! They seem to pride themselves on family and what it meant to have one another! Now look...seems like fame & money cannot make a family happy. It only drove them apart.

Jon is a good man and clearly a wonderful father. If nothing else I hope both he and Kate realize all that is surronding them and the choices they are making because they do have 8 innocent hearts looking up to them.

So much for doing the show to secure their well-being. They now have a big house, wonderful material items and eachother holding divorce papers.

It's about damn time these two finally hit the bricks and maybe going their own ways will make them realize how stupid they were for getting married and having all these kids in the first place. Maybe they can finally pull this show off the air once and for all. Proud of yourself TLC? Good riddance but you have to feel sorry for those kids. Bad parents!

It is pathetic how many people don't even bother to really work through things in their marriage. And in their case, it isn't like they were fighting about money woes like everyone else. Marriage isn't easy. And not exhausting every option when there are children involved is just selfish. The would rather quit their marriage than the stupid show.

Better to divorce than fight in front of the kids. It isn't good for kids to see all the fighting. I explained to my kids when I divorce that mommy & daddy are not divorcing from them and that they are loved. Jon would rather run around with his lady loves than work things out. When people stop watching the show the money will dry up and then what?

It's too bad. I really thought that with all they'd been through that they'd fight harder to keep it all together. I wanted to believe that if they could make it anyone could. Now they're just another divorce statistic.
