PICS: Stephen Colbert gets buzzed in Iraq
Stephen Colbert got into a hairy situation during the taping of his first "Colbert Report" show for U.S. military troops in Iraq.
Comedy Central's arbiter of truthiness got a military-issue buzz cut from his first guest, Gen. Ray Odierno, the U.S. commander in Iraq. The stunt went over pretty well, the AP reports, as did a few jokes about the multiple tours many soldiers have done in the country.
"It must be nice here in Iraq, because I understand some of you keep coming back again and again," he said during the taping.
Here's a shot of Colbert getting his buzz cut from Odierno (though the AP notes that "a stylist finished it off").
"The Colbert Report's" first show from Iraq airs at 11:30 p.m. ET Monday on Comedy Central.
