TwitterPICS: Mickey Rourke in 'Iron Man 2'
Looks like Tony Stark will go up against a villain with an identity crisis in the "Iron Man" sequel.
Gizmodo has posted a first look at Mickey Rourke's character, and now we're thoroughly confused.
Rourke plays Ivan Vanko, who in the comics is Iron Man nemesis Crimson Dynamo. However, Gizmodo reports Ivan will moonlight as Whiplash, a mercenary whose whips are powered by a mechanical device similar to Iron Man's.
Other than a passing reference as being male in the Ultimate universe, Whiplash is a woman.
Does this look like a woman to you?
"Iron Man 2" is set to hit theaters May 7, 2010.

Whiplash is a name used by multiple Marvel villians. The Iron Man character that's being used is Blacklash (aka Whiplash)

Hey, Jon -- Yeah, I though of Blacklash, though Rourke *really* looks nothing like that character. Still, Gizmodo swears Rourke is being called Whiplash in the movie.
