After Perez Hilton's anger over a gay rights' group calling him out after he used a homophobic slur against Will.I.Am, the gossip blogger is saying he's sorry.
But not to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
"I am sorry," Hilton writes on his blog. "I am NOT apologizing to GLAAD. I could care less about them, my former employers. I am apologizing to the gay community."
In a tussle Sunday, June 21, Hilton had told Will.I.Am, "you're not a f***ing artist, you're a f***ing f*ggot."
The blog continues: "I am sorry that any good work I have done for promoting equality may be tainted by me reclaiming a hurtful word -- that's been personally used against me and the gay community -- to hurt someone that was verbally attacking me. It was stupid ...
"I have reached out to Isaiah Washington, someone I incorrectly labeled a homophobe in the past, despite his own public statements that he was not."
Washington, the former "Grey's Anatomy" star, famously used the same gay slur against gay castmate T.R. Knight.
Hilton recently filed a lawsuit against Will.I.Am's manager Polo Molina, the man who allegedly punched Hilton in Sunday's fracas. The blogger plans to donate any money won in the suit to the Matthew Shepard Foundation.
He also adds that he will continue to speak out for and support LGBT organizations, even listing a few as examples ... except for GLAAD.

Perez is and has always been a loser. At least now everybody knows it.
he is such a publicity *****. He is milking this for everything it's worth and more. Has anyone noticed how he makes a move every two days? When the story is about to die here he releases statement after statement and the cycle repeats. He's trying to keep this bull alive as long as we let him
I hope he is OK, that was shocking what happened to this poor thing.
This guy is a total loser and a big goof. He has done a lot of crappy things to other people - he deserves whatever negative things happen to him. Karma can be a bigger ***** than he is.

The ultimate revenge against this bozo (since, after all, he is a clown) would be for everyone on the planet to ignore him. Unfortunately, this is as likely to happen as Bill Clinton winning a third term as President of the United States, so unless he does the world a solid and goes away on his own (or, better yet, develops a terminal case of laryngitis), we're stuck with the leech.
