Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo split

There's still no happily ever after for Nick Lachey.

The former boy band member has split with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, reports People.

"They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another," Minnillo's rep.

Lachey, 35, famously married singer Jessica Simpson, and their rocky marriage was documented on MTV's "Newlyweds." They split in 2005, and a year later, Lachey began dating Minnillo, 28, after they met on the shoot for his music video, "What's Left of Me." Minnillo previously dated Yankees' shortstop Derek Jeter.

Rumors of a breakup have been swirling around for the past month or so.

Minnillo is a TV personality and model, known for her stints on "Total Request Live," as a correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight" and as host to the reality competition show "True Beauty." She also starred in the spoof "Disaster Movie."

Lachey has appeared in a number of TV guest roles, such as for "One Tree Hill," hosted "High School Musical: Get in the Picture" and executive produced MTV's "Taking the Stage."

i kinda knew it was coming. If you look at the last time they were seen out together their boby langauge was way off. She looked tensed & mad & he looked like oh well i tried. I like him so i hope he can get it together in the love department soon.

RUMOR HAS IT THAT THEY MASTERMINDED THIS "BREAKUP" IN THE HOPES OF SELLING MORE CONCERT TICKETS AND ALBUMS.

HE IS SET TO RELEASE HIS ALBUM AND GO ON TOUR BUT REALIZED HOW MANY FANS HE LOST WHEN HE STARTED DATING HER.

SO IN PREPARATION FOR THIS TOUR COMING UP THEY HAVE ANNOUNCED A SPLIT.

YOU WILL SEE THEM TOGETHER SHORTLY. THEY CANT HIDE THIS FOR LONG IN HOLLYWOOD.
