Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper seek 'The A-Team'
We love it when a plan comes together.
Two big stars have officially put their names into negotiations for roles in the movie version of "The A-Team." Variety reports Liam Neeson is in talks to play Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, the cigar-chomping team leader originally played by George Peppard.
Meanwhile, those rumors about "The Hangover" star Bradley Cooper are true: Cooper is officially in talks for the part of Templeton "Face" Peck, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Dirk Benedict played master of disguise Peck on the television series.
"Star Trek" star Chris Pine, meanwhile, is campaigning hard for the role of "Howlin' Mad" Murdock, the team's resident pilot and madman.
He'd better hurry: Filming begins later this summer for a June 11, 2010 release.
Still no word on who will take up Mr. T's mohawk as B.A. "Bad Attitude" Baracus.
"The A-Team" was, of course, a group of elite commandos convicted during the Vietnam War of a crime they did not commit. The members escaped to Los Angeles, where they might be able to solve your problems ... if you could find them.

If you have a problem...if no one else can help...and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team. Don't bastardize it, man!
I thnk Micheal Clarke Duncan would make a good B.A. Barracus. Toned down a little maybe, but he's such a good actor, he'd make the part his own.
"Face" should be played by a woman (maybe even Katee Sackhoff) just to freak out Dirk Benedict.
So, I imagine they'll all have to be Iraq war vets in this reimagining?
I hate tv remakes but I agree Micheal Clark Duncun would make a good BA. But I just don't see anybody playing those rolls, if they make fun of the show, like they were to Dallas that movie project is dead right know? Hope so.
Bring back Mr. T. The guy is a legend. If you've not already, get Mr. T on your GPS to remind you of how funny and cool the guy is. I'm part of the A-team every day with his GPS voice. It's from a site called Navtones. They do real celebrity voices for GPS. It's awesome! As well as Mr. T being back in it, Gary Busey should be Hannibal. Think about it before you just dismiss it!
I think Terry Crews, the dad on "Everybody Hates Chris" could do a good job of playing B.A. He's an ex-pro football player, so he can do the action stuff. Plus, he showed good comedic chops.
As I hear about the casting, I am getting more hopeful about a GOOD remake. (please please please)
