'Jon & Kate' on a break

Like the media, the "Jon & Kate Plus 8" production team has been working feverishly to keep up with the Gosselins' marriage drama.

It's time for a break.

The TLC reality show will go on production hiatus in the wake of Monday's very special episode in which the couple announced they were separating, reports the LA Times' Showtracker.

No new episodes will air until Aug. 3, although a clip show will air next Monday, June 29.

"Jon & Kate" has created production difficulties for TLC since the marriage woes have kept the network scrambling to produce episodes with the most up-to-date info, sometimes even holding up production till the day of airing.

I like Jon better than Kate. Kate is a monster. Jon is the perfect man... I want to be with him!

Kate is a strong woman and she wears the pants, so what, its not her fault that her man cant handle her and is intimidated by her.

there is a difference between a strong woman and an emasculating *****. kate is the latter. i know because she is what my mother was, and jon is what my dad was.

kate has issues with herself that she needs to resolve and because she hasn't, she takes that anger out on others - like jon, like in the way she talks to her kids and people.

i hate that the parents are getting divorced but i'm glad jon has stood up to kate and the result is pulling back from the public eye. again, at some point the kids will see the shows and google their parents. if the worse things they hear on their dad is he may or may not have had an affair, but they see how mommy treated dad, she's not going to win in her kids' eyes. they'll love her, but they'll see through her.

"lived separate lives for 2 years" so much for a reality show more like lets pretend so we can rake in the cash show

It's seriously time for TLC to pull the plug on this show and just let these two handle their divorce in an amicable manner and in private. What happens with the kids will be another story in and of itself. The couple needs to get their affairs in order.
