'Jon & Kate': Kate Gosselin reportedly caught spanking Leah

The Kate Gosselin controversy train rolls on, with the latest stop taking the form of photos allegedly showing her spanking one of her kids.

The photos of the "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star appear in the forthcoming issue of In Touch magazine, whose cover screams "Caught Hitting Her Daughter." They purport to show Gosselin spanking daughter Leah.

A promo for Wednesday's "Insider" shows a couple of the pictures -- Kate is holding Leah by the arm, while her daughter looks up with an anguished expression on her face -- and also promises details on the "fallout" from the incident.

Just what the pictures actually show, however, is anyone's guess at this point. Aside from the two stills in the "Insider" promo, they're hard to find online. In Touch hadn't posted anything about the cover story on its web site as of Wednesday morning.

UPDATE: Popeater has posted a couple of pictures from the magazine.

Uncool and only supports the fact that it is unacceptable for Kate Gosselin to be giving parenting advice as a living. Also, Kate? Remember the pics of Jon with his friend sunbathing? The P people can see you from the street. Learn a little self control and drag the kids inside before you beat on them.

Whatever. You know, Kate Gosselin has a right to punish her child (or children) if they get out of line and she has a right to do it as she sees fit. A little spanking goes a long way. We've become far to PC in this world. Who are WE to judget. Spanking, when done appropriately sends a message. All you Molly DoGooders probably have kids who are disprectful, mean and obnoxious. There's a difference between spanking one's child and hitting the kid.

i'm no kate fan but seriously this is too much. i have no issue with her spanking her children. and taken out of context anything can seem horrible.

at the same time, she can't get upset over people reacting to this considering she's the one keeping them in the spotlight.

A swat on the backside usually gets their attention. I am amazed that Jon & Kate haven't swatted a few more backsides. I've heard them say and practice "WE DON'T HIT". I am the same kind of parent, HOWEVER, sometimes after verbal warnings of an impending swat on the butt, I did the same thing. I don't get what all the hubbub is about with Jon & Kate. I have watched the show from the beginning and they are the same people they have been since the first episode. Jon is a whipping boy and Kate can be a biatch!!!!. So what is all the news about????

I don't like Kate, or anything she stands for, but I have to say that those kids need spankings and discipline. I'm not talking beatings, but a spanking doesn't hurt anything.

absolutely nothing wrong w/ a swat to the bum......... a swat, not a beating, not several swats, not a swat that leaves welts, a tap.... if the swat leaves a mark that's not acceptable either.

I don't like Kate, but maybe the kid deserved it. Spanking's not the same as beating. So not news.
