Halle Berry may hire 'The Surrogate'
Real-life mom Halle Berry may go childless for "The Surrogate."
Berry's in talks to star as a woman who hires a surrogate mother only to find out the woman is insane, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kathryn Mackel's 2004 novel follows Bethany and Kyle Dolan as they struggle against Sable Lynde (what a name!), a mentally disturbed woman who masquerades as a surrogate mom.
The source novel is a Christian thriller, but with "Showgirls" director Paul Verhoeven behind the camera, we suspect the movie will embrace more of a moral gray area.

I saw a late-night movie with the exact same plot. Ali Larter from "Heroes" was the surrogate and she tries to seduce the husband and "suicide" the wife.
