David Fincher may friend Facebook movie

Davidfincher_290 Call it the Curious Case of the Confirm Button.

David Fincher, hot off a Best Director Oscar nomination for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," is in talks to direct a film about the story of social-networking Web site Facebook, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Aaron Sorkin is already on board to write the story of founders Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes, who in 2004 created the site to bring together college students. Facebook rapidly grew beyond that population, displacing rival social networking venues like Friendster and MySpace.

Filming could begin by the end of the year, though no actors have been attached.
