Adriannepalicki_fridaynightlights_290 The Wolverines' numbers are growing.

"Friday Nights Star" Adrianne Palicki and "The Wackness'" Josh Peck have joined the "Red Dawn" remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Palicki will play Toni, a role originated by Jennifer Grey, and Peck will play Matt (Charlie Sheen's role in the original). The movie is set for a September 2010 release.

Meanwhile, Variety says Miley Cyrus is getting some company.

Greg Kinnear and Kelly Preston have signed on to play Cyrus' character's divorced parents in an adaptation of the forthcoming Nicholas Sparks novel "The Last Song." The movie will follow a 20-year-old woman (Cyrus) who spends the summer with her estranged musician father (Kinnear) and, of course, learns valuable lessons about life.

Is it really that hard to think up some original stories?

Yes, Steve, it is hard for writers of today to think up some original stories....

Every movie out there is a remake somehow, different characters, title and script but the story lines remain the same. What's next? The Breakfast Club? How about the Sound of Music??

MILEY CYRUS SINGS LIKE SH*T!!
