TwitterCasting Call: Linda Hunt supplies 'NCIS: LA'
An Oscar winner is joining the "NCIS: LA" team.
Linda Hunt has signed on as a regular for CBS' new drama "NCIS: LA," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The diminutive actress will play the overseer for the "backroom" support staff that provides the Office of Special Projects (which brings down the criminals that threaten national security) with all its special supplies -- ranging from mircro surveillance cameras to fast cars. The character has history in the film industry, and is a practical, no-nonsense type.
Hunt joins Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J and the newly announced Adam Jamal Craig on the show. Louise Lombard co-starred in the pilot, but has departed the show.
Hunt won a supporting actress Oscar for "The Year of Living Dangerously," co-starred on "Carnivale" as Management and recently recurred on "Without a Trace."

OK, you little snot-noses, she won an Oscar by being a good actress.
The Year of Living Dangerously was probably the best movie of its year: Rates many stars at IMDB.
Starred two up-and-comers named, oh, have you heard of Mel Gibson and Sigourney Weaver?
So I suggest you wipe your noses, grow up and learn that yes, the world existed before you were born.

LOL... You cant compare this thing to the GREAT Sigourney Weaver. Sigourney always has hit movies and is way too good for tv.
At least Linda Hunt has the dignity and courage to be who she real is: a great actress. Are you really named "meow" with a lowercase "m?" What exactly are you trying to hide? All that I'm seeing here is a lack of respect.

I think she will be great. The part she played on Without a Trace had a very dry sense of humor which I enjoy. In Dune(1984)...she played Shadout Mapes.
Linda Hunt is a rare actress in this age of "phony superstars".She eschews the "entertainment tonight" hype and just does her job with sensitivity, charm, style and wit!
Size be damned. Thia woman is a GIANT!!!!!!!!!
