Sachabaroncohen_bruno_gq_nude_290 The producers of "Bruno" cut a scene involving Michael Jackson from the movie's premiere Thursday, but they're still weighing whether to restore it for the movie's release in two weeks.

Universal cut a scene in which Austrian fashion journalist Bruno -- one of the alter egos of Sacha Baron Cohen -- interviews La Toya Jackson about her famous family, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog. The bit includes Bruno asking the unsuspecting Jackson question about her brother's voice and his trademark single glove.

Because the premiere was taking place only hours after Michael Jackson's death, removing the scene for the screening seems like a no-brainer. There hasn't been a decision, however, about keeping the scene out or restoring it for "Bruno's" July 9 release.

"We decided to take it out for tonight and we'll reassess before the release whether to keep it out," director Larry Charles told the HR.

The scene with La Toya Jackson was included in critics' screenings that took place before Thursday's premiere.

cut it ! its in bad taste. i dont find bruno funny anyways and to dishonor michael jackson would be wrong . get your laugh off someone else.

cut it for now
and put it as a deleted scene on dvd

I agree with Dan - cut the scene from the movie but include it on the DVD.

Who cares? No one had a problem at laughing at Michael before he died. Its more making fun of La Toya, and trying to get to Michael through her, via stealing her phone. Keep the movie the same

i hope her majesty is doing good, she had a hard time dealing with his death. with the king gone, at least the queen of pop is still around.

Why was it ok to make fun of the Jackson family before Micheal's death, but not after? Leave it in. Because he died, we're supposed to ignore all his "legal troubles" and only mention his musical contributions?
This is the same knee jerk overly politically correct response that had The Sopranos intro delete the twin towers from a rear view mirror, or Fox not airing the Bones episode "Player under Pressure" (student gets crushed by bleachers in the gym) because of the Virginia Tech shootings.

SBC isn't an ignorant jerk like the characters he plays. He clearly has a heart, nice call, Mr. Cohen.

LAkitty, it wasn't Sacha to make that call. it was the producers. he probably would've left it in

dang Deep Throat, wouldn't Cohen surely be (at least one of) the producer(s)??

Remove it but put it in the DVD, either in the main film or in the extra's.

Michael Jackson had some weird behavior, and as long as what the film says isn't totally offensive ( e.g, claming he was a peado, which was never proven and which is being further disproven after his death), then who cares? Michael liked to laugh at himself. He liked to laugh at his fame. Still, at the end of the day he's a legend recently gone, so MOCKING him is in bad taste. What has Cohan done compared to Jackson? What has ANYONE done compared to Jackson? xx
