ABC moves up 'I Survived a Japanese Game Show'
ABC is shuffling around its summer schedule a bit, moving up the premiere of "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" by three weeks and sending "The Goode Family" to Fridays.
The moves come after a weak ratings performance by "The Goode Family" in its second week on the air. Back-to-back episodes of the show drew a meager 2.4 million viewers on Wednesday, finishing a distant fourth to NBC, FOX and CBS. (The show's premiere on May 27 brought in 3.65 million people.)
"The Goode Family" will pair with "Surviving Suburbia" at 8 p.m. on Fridays starting June 12. Reruns of "Wife Swap," which have been airing there, will sit out for a while.
ABC will air a double shot of "Wipeout" on Wednesday, June 10, with the second season of "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" moving to 9 p.m. Wednesdays starting June 17. It had been scheduled to premiere July 8.
"Japanese Game Show," hosted by Rome Kanda, transports a dozen Americans to Tokyo, where they take part in a string of wacky game-show challenges, with the winner pocketing $250,000. The show averaged about 6.5 million viewers a week last summer.

I've tried to like "The Goode Family," but it is just a weak show with unlikable characters and kindergarten-level plots.
I don't blame ABC for trying to kill this one...
